Rehabilitating architecture involves delving into the past in order to rewrite history and give it a new life. To restore, to preserve, to repair, to reconstruct, to intervene... When all is said and done, architecture is the paradigm of useful art, and as such it is forced to be continually rejuvenated in order to shelter the users that over the years inhabit it, sleep, eat and work in it, or simply walk through it. The life of a building is rewritten periodically, until one day its doors are closed and remains dormant, awaiting demolition or rehabilitation.
